Se llama Trínkalo y utilizan fibra de paja de trigo, 100% naturales, ecológicos, biodegradables y sin BPA, para fabricar menaje del hogar sostenible. Hablamos con Aída Alonso, CEO de Trínkalo para conocer los entresijos de esta empresa sostenible.
Pregunta: La primera pregunta es obligada, ¿cómo es el proceso desde la paja hasta el material que forma parte de vuestros utensilios?
Respuesta: La fibra de paja trigo es un residuo agroindustrial al que se le han encontrado innovadoras y muy útiles aplicaciones, no sólo es apto para la fabricación de menaje ecológico sino también para uso cosmético o gomas entre otros.
La fibra de paja de trigo pasa por un proceso de prensado, refinado y depuración donde se obtiene una pasta que junto al polipropileno que es el único plástico ecológico recomendado por la OMS (Organización Mundial de la Salud) se trabaja para conseguir que finalmente esta pasta se convierta en el menaje ecológico de nuestra marca.

Pregunta: ¿Por qué fibra de paja de trigo entre todas las opciones naturales? ¿Tiene alguna procedencia concreta?
Respuesta: Como sabrás la UE quiere eliminar el plástico y la fibra de paja de trigo es la alternativa perfecta. No contamina, es compostable, reciclable y muy resistente.
Nos decantamos por este material porque en comparación con otros nos gusta el buen acabado que tiene, es suave al tacto, se limpia fácilmente y soporta una temperatura de hasta 120 º, por lo que se puede calentar en el microondas.
Como puedes ver son todo ventajas.
Pregunta: ¿Qué otros materiales se utilizan en Trínkalo y cómo se seleccionan los materiales y tintas utilizados?
Respuesta: Otro de los materiales que usamos es la fibra de bambú. También es ecológico y muy resistente.
Después de un proceso de selección muy cuidadoso se escoge el material para la fabricación del menaje, se usan materiales vegetales con diferentes colorantes también naturales que hace que tengan unos colores suaves con un toque vintage.
Pregunta: Nos gustaría saber cómo surge el interés desde Trínkalo de crear menaje sostenible y cómo se pone en marcha la idea
Respuesta: En Trínkalo estamos muy concienciados con el medio ambiente, es un problema que nos afecta a todos, la tierra es nuestra casa y como tal deberíamos cuidarla. Apostamos por que poco a poco el plástico se elimine de nuestras vidas y por eso nos inclinamos por los materiales biodegradables, sin BPA.

Pregunta: ¿Está el mercado preparado para el menaje sostenible? ¿Cómo ha sido la acogida?
Respuesta: Creemos que el mercado si lo está, pero también decirte que hay muchos escépticos todavía.
Aunque nuestros productos están teniendo muy buena aceptación, vemos que aún hay quien no le convence el menaje para el hogar que no sea el típico de cristal, loza o plástico, este último usado mucho para la fabricación de tuppers, por ejemplo. Esperamos que poco a poco las personas vayan tomando conciencia.
Pregunta: ¿Cómo ha sido el proceso de concepción, diseño y fabricación de los productos de Trínkalo?
Respuesta: Es un proceso que conlleva mucho trabajo, testeamos, hacemos estudio de mercado, etc., unos productos son más aceptados que otros. Estamos en constante aprendizaje.
Pregunta: Nos gustaría saber más sobre diseñar menaje con materiales naturales y biodegradables ¿añade dificultad al proceso creativo? ¿Qué limitaciones y posibilidades ofrece?
Respuesta: Aun siendo un material muy resistente es al mismo tiempo maleable, por lo que no hay dificultad añadida para trabajarlo. Ofrece innumerables posibilidades, hoy en día prácticamente se fabrican todo tipo de artículos con este material.
Pregunta: Estamos acostumbrados a materiales naturales y biodegradables para menaje de usar y tirar, pero vosotros ofrecéis productos más duraderos y resistentes ¿Qué vida útil puede tener el menaje fabricado con fibra de paja como el vuestro?
Respuesta: Nuestros productos son muy resistentes, prácticamente irrompibles, perfectos para todas las edades y para toda la familia. Además, son muy ligeros lo que les hace ideales para usarlos en cualquier lugar, ya sea en casa o en el trabajo, campo o playa, etc. Son muy fáciles de limpiar y además son aptos para microondas y lavavajillas.

Pregunta: Además de los típicos elementos del menaje como boles, vasos, platos, los tazones de aprendizaje para los pequeños de la casa parecen tener muy buena acogida en Trínkalo. ¿Qué tienen de especial para ellos?
Respuesta: Los tazones para niños han tenido una acogida fabulosa, tienen un diseño muy divertido que llaman la atención de los más pequeños y podemos hacer que las comidas sean más entretenidas. Tenemos dos diseños en diferentes colores que se pueden usar tanto para niños como para niñas.
Son muy prácticos y hemos intentado buscarle una parte funcional para el entretenimiento del peque mientras come.
Pregunta: Personalmente, la fiambrera también me ha parecido muy original y muy pensada con sus tres compartimentos para el tamaño que tienen ¿Cómo nace la idea?
Respuesta: Esta idea parte de las típicas Bento Box, son cajas para transportar comida muy arraigada a la cultura japonesa. Así que pensamos que como somos muchas las personas que tenemos que comer fuera de casa y que nos gusta la comida casera pensamos que podríamos facilitar a nuestros clientes poder llevarse la comida de casa, manteniendo todas sus propiedades.
Pregunta: Para finalizar ¿Algún próximo diseño que vayáis a lanzar y del que podáis adelantar algo?
Respuesta: Como te comentamos anteriormente, estamos siempre en constante estudio, vamos viendo cual es la demanda del mercado, nos gusta el menaje ecológico y queremos lanzar más productos en este nicho para estos próximos meses. Pero también queremos ampliar el abanico de posibilidades intentando siempre mantener nuestra línea.
